Since 2013, when TDS acquired Baja Broadband, TDS has invested more than $150 million in its Southern Utah network. TDS has upgraded its speeds for the last several years and now offers super-fast 1Gig internet for residential and business customers in Southern Utah.

What’s so special about 1Gig internet?

The best thing about 1Gig internet is no matter how many people are using the internet in your home at the same time, no matter how many devices are connected, and no matter what time it is, 1Gig provides more bandwidth for everyone and all the devices in your home. With 1Gig, there’s no more rationing out your broadband.

1Gig increases your entertainment options at home and changes how you work and go to school. It also provides the best online experience for streamers, gamers, social media users and families with multiple users at home.

With more people working from home, many TDS customers have found faster speeds are necessary to ensure everyone has ample bandwidth. With these TDS investments, now is the time to check out TDS’s fastest high-speed internet service.

For example, a two-hour 4K movie will download in under a minute. With 1Gig, there will be no dragging or lagging in video chats and no spinning balls while you wait to send or upload videos, photos or files.

TDS has invested in TV too

TDS offers an integrated television option called TDS TV+ that brings together your live, recorded and streaming options all in one place. Plus, TDS offers affordable and feature-rich phone plans so you can stay connected to friends and family, near and far.

Why TDS?

TDS associates live and work in Southern Utah. TDS employs more than 100 associates in the area, so when you stop in the TDS office, you will likely speak to someone you know, or a friend of a friend.

Giving back is an integral part of the culture at TDS. From hands-on volunteering to in-kind and financial support, TDS takes a vested interest in the growth of the communities they serve. In fact, community involvement is so imperative to their core beliefs that they started the “Be Good Citizens” program, which provides associates with 16 hours of paid time off every year to volunteer.

Southern Utah TDS associates’ volunteer efforts include sorting food at the Utah Food Bank, hosting a cornhole tournament fundraiser benefitting Root for Kids and the Utah Pacific Islanders Coalition, and cleaning and painting at the Washington County Children’s Justice Center.

In the last year, TDS has also donated $20,000 to the Housing Action Coalition in Washington County and $5,000 to the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument as well as supporting Root for Kids and the St. George Children’s Museum. The company donated 600 pounds of food to the Mesquite Lights Salvation Army Food Bank and products to RRCI: Empowering People with Disabilities.

A little history about TDS
