A winner in multiple categories of the Best of Southern Utah contest – doctor, oral surgeon and medical facility – for the sixth consecutive year, the Oral & Facial Surgery Institute operates with the motto of “Expect excellence.” And Davis promises that’s exactly what they’ll deliver. Recognizing that every patient is unique, they take pride in tailoring treatment options to each patient’s individual needs and desires.

“It’s an honor for myself and our whole team,” he said. “We have a phenomenal team that prioritizes patient care and wants patients to have an exceptional experience in our practice. I’m honored and very happy that the community has recognized their efforts.”

The Oral & Facial Surgery Institute offers wisdom tooth removal and various options for dental implants. Numerous patients benefit from their “teeth in a day” procedure, which replaces traditional dentures with secure implants for permanent fixed teeth.

Additionally, Davis performs reconstructive surgery for patients with traumatic facial injuries using the most technologically advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment available. These cutting-edge treatments can help restore a patient’s smile, confidence and oral health; often, the results are truly life-changing.

He also addresses oral pathology and temporomandibular joint syndrome, a painful disorder of the jaw muscles and nerves. The practice offers a variety of comfort options, including local anesthesia, laughing gas and IV sedation.

Davis opened the doors of his practice in 2008 and has built the business from the ground up. Darian, the practice manager, Bonny, a dental hygienist, and Nicole, the implant treatment coordinator, have been with him since the very beginning. They opened a new state-of-the-art facility on Riverside Drive in late 2018.

Today, the Oral & Facial Surgery Institute employs a team of 15 experienced professionals who strive to provide exemplary patient care. From the front desk staff to the surgical assistants and implant treatment coordinators, they’re committed to treating every patient with kindness and respect, ensuring that they’re happy with what they see in the mirror.

“We want to offer our patients a first-class experience that starts with the consultation,” Davis said. “We want to understand what their goals are, and we work together as a team with the patient so that they’re satisfied.”

Davis graduated from Brigham Young University and attended dental school at the Temple University College of Dentistry while also obtaining a Master of Business Administration. He completed his residency at the University of Oklahoma, where he was chosen to serve as chief resident in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery during his final year.

Davis goes above and beyond in his commitment to continuing education in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery for the benefit of his patients. He maintains membership in multiple scholarly organizations and serves as the team surgeon for facial trauma in the sports medicine department at Utah Tech University. Additionally, every surgical assistant at the institute has completed advanced training, including the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination.

Everyone at the Oral & Facial Surgery Institute is grateful to be able to live and work in St. George, Davis said, and help patients achieve a better quality of life through innovative dental solutions. Their commitment to excellence is reflected by the gold ribbons they continue to earn in the Best of Southern Utah.

“We love what we do,” he added. “We’ve loved coming to work every day for the past 16 years and look forward to many, many more years of offering exceptional care to the people of Southern Utah.”
