The Black Desert Championship, part of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Fall, features an elite field of international competitors at the top of the men’s game. The tournament will be broadcast via the Golf Channel, Peacock and PGA Tour Live on ESPN+, but Southern Utah golf fans have the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with all the action.

“It’s been 62 years since the state of Utah has had a PGA Tour event, and we’re going big in year one,” Black Desert Resort managing partner Patrick Manning said. “I think the word ‘historic’ is appropriate.”

It all starts on Wednesday, Oct. 9, with the pro-am tournament presented by Marcella. The full field competes in the first and second rounds on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 10-11, but only the best will survive the cut to play in the third round on Saturday, Oct. 12, and the final round on Sunday, Oct. 13. Utah Gov. Spencer J. Cox will be on hand to present the trophy to the winner of this historic event.

Tickets, including daily grounds passes and VIP experiences, are now available to purchase at blackdesertevents.com. Prices are set to increase on Sept. 15, so don’t wait to reserve your spot.

“We anticipate a pretty quick sellout,” Manning said.

Grounds passes start at $60 for Wednesday’s preview day, $75 each day for Thursday’s opening day and Friday’s second round and $85 each day for Saturday’s third round and Sunday’s final round. Children ages 2 and under enter for free, while tickets for kids ages 3-15 cost $30 for Wednesday, $40 each day for Thursday and Friday and $50 each day for Saturday and Sunday.

Grounds passes include access to viewing decks on the 7th green and 15th tee, the Fan Village experience located between the 16th green and 17th tee and the Life Elevated Fan Deck presented by the State of Utah, which features tiered seating facing the 15th green, a variety of concessions and restrooms. Parking is included with all ticket purchases.

Designed by the late Tom Weiskopf, a World Golf Hall of Fame 2024 inductee, the golf course at Black Desert Resort is nestled among stunning black lava fields and red rock formations. While holes 4-7 are unable to accommodate foot traffic due to the area’s unique topography, spectators are encouraged to get close to the action along the rope lines on other holes and within special fan areas that will be open to all ticketholders.

Fans seeking an upgraded experience can purchase daily tickets to the Greater Zion Club, which start at $300 for Wednesday, $400 each day for Thursday and Friday and $450 each day for Saturday and Sunday. Tournament week passes cost $1,750.

Overlooking the 16th green as well as the par-3 17th hole, the Greater Zion Club offers panoramic views of Snow Canyon State Park and the Red Mountains. The venue spans multiple levels, featuring an open-air, shared hospitality experience with views of the competition from both sides. Tickets include all-inclusive lunch, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and access to upgraded restrooms.

  • Legends Pass presented by Sirq Construction: VIP access at the resort and on the course throughout tournament week.
  • Honorary Observer: Walk inside the ropes for an entire round of competition with a group of PGA Tour players.
  • Wednesday Pro-Am presented by Marcella: Play alongside two PGA Tour professionals in the opportunity of a lifetime.

Inaugurating a four-year partnership between Black Desert Resort and the PGA Tour, the 2024 Black Desert Championship marks the first PGA Tour event hosted in Utah in more than 60 years. The resort will unveil its first phase, which includes 447 luxury guest rooms and suites, 45,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and event space and five diverse restaurant and beverage outlets after the tournament concludes. It’s also set to welcome the LPGA Tour next spring, further solidifying its status as one of America’s most esteemed golf destinations. Visit blackdesertresort.com/golf to learn more.
